Commissioner Gallucci has made significant contributions to Campton Township as its Highway Commissioner. Among his accomplishments is the introduction of computerization to the Highway District Office, marking a pivotal improvement in efficiency and record-keeping. Additionally, under his leadership, over 130 miles of township roads have been resurfaced, enhancing transportation safety and infrastructure throughout the area. His dedication to community service is further demonstrated by the replacement of more than 800 street signs and the upgrade of over 200 non-functioning culverts—achievements realized at no cost to the homeowners. During his tenure, the Campton Township Highway District has also expanded its responsibilities, taking charge of an additional 41 miles of roadway.

Commissioner Gallucci brings a wealth of experience from diverse professional environments. After obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Northeastern Illinois State University, he devoted 21 years to law enforcement. His career spanned several police departments, including Evanston PD, Naperville PD, Kendall County Sheriff's Department, and the Plano Police Department. Throughout his law enforcement tenure, he held various positions such as patrol officer, evidence technician specializing in crime scene investigations, detective, sergeant, deputy chief of police, and ultimately chief of police in Plano, Illinois.

Commissioner Gallucci is deeply involved in the Campton community, actively volunteering and serving on numerous Township committees for over 24 years. His contributions include membership on the Parks and Recreation Committee, where he played an instrumental role in developing the Community Park on Brown Road. In recognition of his service to the Wasco Baseball League, the baseball field at the Campton Township Community Center was dedicated to him in 2003.

Currently, Commissioner Gallucci serves on the Environmental Committee for Campton Township and has been a member of the Village of Campton Hills Fire and Police Commission since 2019, serving as chairman for the last three years. He and his wife have resided in Campton Township since 1986.

In 2007, when the Village of Campton Hills was incorporated and required an agency to maintain its 101 miles of roads, Commissioner Gallucci facilitated an Intergovernmental Agreement to oversee all maintenance, including road repairs and snow plowing. This agreement was renewed 2017 and revised in 2024, extending the partnership until 2029. Additionally, the Highway District has established similar agreements with the Plato Township Road District, Village of Lily Lake, Village of Virgil, and Virgil Township Highway District. Maintenance work on these roads is performed upon request from each respective agency.
