Parking regulations are strictly enforced within the Village of Campton Hills and Campton Township during snow and ice events to ensure that roadways remain accessible for snow removal and safe for motorists.
On all Village roadways, vehicle parking is prohibited during any snow or ice event. This restriction remains in effect until snow and ice removal operations have been completed. Motorists are required to keep roadways clear to facilitate efficient plowing and maintain safe travel conditions for all.
Within Campton Township, the Kane County Ordinance prohibits parking on unincorporated roadways during a snowfall of two inches or more. Residents and visitors are expected to move vehicles off these roads when such conditions occur.
If a Campton Township Highway District snowplow is unable to clear a roadway due to an illegally parked vehicle, the vehicle will be towed. Towing may be conducted by either the Village of Campton Hills Police Department or the Kane County Sheriff’s Department. All towing expenses are the responsibility of the vehicle's owner.
